Please find here a letter from Professor Judith Olszowy-Schlanger, whose vision and leadership made the Oxford School for Rare Jewish Languages possible. In her letter, Professor Olszowy-Schlanger shares why your support is so important in helping secure the future of the OSRJL.
Since its founding in 2021, the OSRJL has grown beyond its original goal of teaching 10 endangered Jewish languages. Today, we offer courses in 18 rare Jewish languages, bringing together students and scholars from around the world to study and preserve these remarkable linguistic and cultural traditions.
As members of the OSRJL community, you have helped make this achievement possible. We hope you will consider supporting the next stage of the School’s development, enabling us to sustain our current programmes, expand our teaching, and continue safeguarding these languages for future generations.
If you experience any difficulty accessing the link provided in Professor Olszowy-Schlanger’s letter, you can also visit our Support page directly.
Thank you for being part of the OSRJL community and for any support you are able to offer.
