Old Yiddish

Teacher: Dr Diana Matut

Class Level: Beginners (knowledge of the Yiddish alphabet is required)

Class Schedule 2024-25: Mondays, 19:30-20:30pm UK Time (you can check time-zone comparisons on sites such as this one)

Class Length: 3-term class (Michaelmas Term 2024-Trinity Term 2025) (Oxford dates of term are available on the University website)

Class Description: This class is meant for those who would like to learn how to read and translate Yiddish texts in manuscript and printed form from the 13th to the 18th century. Knowledge of the Yiddish alphabet is required.
