Solomon in Story and History. New Perspectives
King Solomon is an ambiguous figure. The promised son of David, incarnation of wisdom and builder of the Jewish Temple, he is also remembered as a tyrant and worshipper of false gods. The Summer School will introduce graduate students to new perspectives on the Solomon story.
